RFIDGPS01M RFID GPS Receiver with GPRS Modem Ready ( Dimensions, 12 cm X 5.5 cm )

This is a combine receiver with active RFID and GPS. When an active RFID tag such as RF8135T is in range, this receiver will output a message with GPS information, receiver built in ID and RFID tag ID to through the serial port. As the active RFID tag is very low cost and can be powered by coin battery, the active RFID tag can be installed in any object such as bus or carries by people. When the active RFID tag is inside a checking point where this receiver is, the object location (GPS latitude and longitude) will be sent out.

This is designed to control any Siemens type modem such as MOD9001C for global wireless data transfer.

Live Case

A organization with more than 100 mini buses that are used to carry young kids to go to schools. Each minis buses are installed this receiver with wireless connection to central server by using local telecom network. Each of the kid is carrying an active tag RF8315T-sc. When the kid enters the mini bus, the receiver on the bus can detect the signal from active tag and sends out the GPS, tag ID and receiver ID to the central server by using the telecom network in real time.

The server database has the information about the bus such as plate number by using the receiver ID. Parents can check whether their kids are by logging on the web program using their kids' active RFID tag number. If the their kids are onboard, the location of the bus (GPS latitude and longitude) will be shown on Google Map.
